Application Scope:
The falling-film evaporator is suitable for continuous evaporation and concentration processes in industries including chemicals, oilfields, pharmaceuticals, bioengineering, food processing (glucose, starch), and waste liquid recovery.
Working Principle:
The feed liquid enters from the top of the heating chamber and is distributed by a liquid distributor. Under gravity, vacuum induction and airflow, it flows downward as a thin film. The liquid is heated and vaporized inside the tubes, and the vapor-liquid mixture exits from the bottom of the heating tubes. After vapor-liquid separation, the concentrated liquid is obtained. The secondary steam generated is compressed to increase pressure and temperature, enhancing its enthalpy before entering the heating chamber to release latent heat and condense into water.
Main Features:
• Downward pressurized flow enables evaporation of high-viscosity liquids
• Stable concentration of final product
• Very short residence time in heating tubes
• Gentle evaporation process suitable for foaming liquids
• Not suitable for solutions with crystallization or scaling tendencies
• Requires high-precision liquid distributors
• Large processing capacity with compact footprint
