  • MVR Multi-Effect Evaporator

Application Scope:
The MVR multi-effect evaporator is suitable for:
- Evaporation and concentration of heat-sensitive, high-viscosity materials with large evaporation loads
- Evaporation and crystallization of scaling-prone, low-concentration wastewater

Working Principle:
This combined system integrates the advantages of falling-film evaporation and forced circulation (FC) crystallization. The MVR double-effect evaporation process overcomes the limitations of single MVR systems while expanding their application range. For materials with low boiling point elevation (e.g., sodium sulfate solution at 3.5°C) and high evaporation loads, the MVR double-effect evaporator can be employed. Secondary steam from the first effect heats the material in the second effect, while secondary steam from the second effect is compressed to increase pressure and temperature (enhancing its enthalpy) before entering the first effect. This reduces the compressor flow rate to just half of the evaporation volume, significantly lowering energy consumption per ton of water evaporated.

Main Features:
- Combines the stability and high efficiency of falling-film evaporation
- Large total heat exchange area with reduced compressor flow rate for lower energy consumption
- Power consumption of 10–20 kWh per ton of water evaporated
- Compact design with small footprint
